God is Community

The Bible tells one rich story after another about how God refuses to let us walk through life alone. From the very beginning with Adam (“it’s not good for man to be alone”) all the way up to the invention of the church itself in the book of Acts, God loves community.

In fact, God in and of Himself is a community. He is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit — the 3 in 1… a community in and of Himself.

So if that is who God is, then He certainly wants us to know and be known. Both by God Himself and by other human beings.

Our affirmation to you

We will walk alongside you (you don’t have to be alone),

and listen to you (we all need to be heard & not just talked at),

and encourage you (no one can be encouraged too much!),

and challenge you to grow more and more in your relationship with God.
