Steven White

I came to serve as pastor of this church in January 2021. Though I was born & raised in North Carolina, after moving to New England in 2011, I can’t ever imagine living anywhere else now.

I love cheering for the Boston Celtics as a fan, & to be humbled by sports like golf, tennis, & basketball by playing them myself. I’m married to a beautiful & amazing person, Sarah. She’s a native New Yorker, works for the Lausanne Movement from our home, & is an avid runner. Together, we drink a whole lot of coffee & love learning from people of all different cultures & backgrounds (like you!). We love the city of Salem (it’s where we first met & had our first dates back in 2011). We have two spunky & fun daughters, Nora & Clara.

I can’t wait to tell you more about how our lives have been turned upside-down, inside-out by knowing Jesus.

Worship leader

JAVIER MÁRQUEZ

Javier is a gifted pianist and musician who leads our church in weekly worship. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Javier is a graduate of Salem State University and UMass (Amherst), with degrees in music and composition. Javier loves to share his gift of music with others in numerous ways, notably and most recently with the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra. Currently, Javier works as the Program Director at North Shore Adult Day Health Center in Lynn.

Audio/Visual Coordinator

Kevin Nix

Kevin oversees our Sunday morning sound, visuals, and online livestream for the church worship service. A musician himself, Kevin has a gift for getting the best possible sound delivered to those participating in our worship services. During the week, Kevin works as an Audio Visual Technician at the Museum of Science in Boston.
