“Hallowed Prayer” beginning Oct. 1

“[Jesus said] Pray then like this: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…” Matthew 6:9

Beginning on October 1 & continuing for each day in October, we invite you to join us on a “hallowed prayer” journey. Each day will consist of a Scripture, a short meditation, and ways to pray personally and for the city of Salem. Salem is a beautiful city that we love. We want to see it flourish, and we believe it will flourish to its greatest potential when faithful believers in Jesus pray for it and serve it in the love of Christ. Join us!

This year’s theme… “Jesus is in our City”

Where is Jesus now? Disconnected from our everyday lives? More active in other cities or towns? No. We know & trust that Jesus is already in the city of Salem — in homes, on the playgrounds, at the public parks, with the homeless… everywhere. He goes before us.

So this year’s Scripture reflections & invitations to prayer focus on the reality that Jesus is already here in Salem. We will follow Jesus’s story in the Gospels, highlighting who Jesus chose to interact with, where he chose to go, what his posture was, etc… Now & today, Jesus is simply asking us to follow him into the spaces where he already is at work. Truly, “Jesus is in our city.”

Join us on Halloween Night on our church lawn!
