What questions did you have from the Sunday sermon?

Each Sunday we hear a sermon preached from the Bible and no doubt some questions will arise. “What does this text mean? Why did Jesus say that? I don’t understand ______.” We need a safe place to investigate those questions more deeply.

Each Sunday a group of people gathers in the back of the sanctuary for a short time of open discussion based on what was taught. There are no bad questions. Bring any questions you want.

Here are a few values we have about the Q&R time:

  1. We aim to give “responses”, not “answers”

While we are not shy about what we think the truth is, we also desire to create an environment of discussion, conversation, and exploration. Therefore, each genuine question is met with open responses. This is different than an “open and shut” answer time. So come explore with us, and discover with us what the Bible says and what Jesus’s claims are.

2. We value your anonymity

While you’re free to ask questions out in the open, we also provide a way for you to ask hard questions with no shame or name.

In each week’s sermon notes (included in the bulletin), a QR code and special code for slido.com is provided. From there you can ask a question anonymously.

3. We will point you to Jesus & prayer

Like we’ve said in other places, we believe all true curiosity will lead us to the good news of Jesus Christ. So come open and curious, but know that we will ultimately encourage you towards faith in Jesus, while not in any way pushing you there or pressuring you.

We finish each Q&R time with prayer.
